Immodest Proposals: MOCAH Village the Community Of The Future?

On Saturday, April 10, 2004 from 7pm-9pm the Buffalo Bayou Art Park will host an opening reception for Immodest Proposals, an exhibition featuring proposals for the most unreasonable public art projects in Houston. The exhibit will be hosted at the Commerce Street Artists Warehouse, located 2315 Commerce, in the large gallery from April 10- May 1, 2004. The Museum Of Cultural Arts Houston (MOCAH) will present its master plan for MOCAH Village, a smart growth creative community.
MOCAH Village is a planned community designed to provide a cultural and artistically rich environment conducive to the needs of artists and local residents. MOCAH Village will include affordable housing and lease space for artists, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations; production studios, sculpture garden, performance space; wellness center and incubator space for arts-related and arts-based commercial businesses.
